Nine Star Ki: Your Lucky Directions
Nine Star Ki (Kyusei Kigaku) is a Japanese system based on the nine stars and the five elements. Enter your birth date to see your star and the lucky and unlucky directions for this year and this month — a traditional guide for trips and moves. Your birth date stays on your device.
Green = lucky, red = avoid. North is at the top.

Traditionally the yearly chart is used for long trips and moving house, and the monthly chart for day trips.
The unlucky directions
Go-o-satsu: where the Five Yellow Earth star sits. Anken-satsu: the opposite of Go-o-satsu. Honmei-satsu: where your own star sits. Honmei-teki-satsu: the opposite of your own star. Ha: the direction opposite the year’s (or month’s) zodiac animal. These are traditionally avoided.
Nine Star Ki is a traditional guide, not a promise of results. The Nine Star Ki year begins at Risshun (around February 4); if you were born before that day, your star is taken from the previous year.
